WTF, mate?

WTF.

I feel the need to share some recent events in my life. I shall enumerate them:

1 - Friends. Why can't I find any decent friends? All I want is someone that understands me, someone that shares the same viewpoints as I do, and someone that I don't have to argue with every five seconds. A friendship shouldn't be constant fighting. At least not in my book. And I don't care what you think - we're going by my book now. The only good friends I have are selected members of my family and people that I've met over the internet. Now I realize that my "online friends" can't be so close, but they're awesome to talk to and I really enjoy their company. You know who you are. You're loved.

2 - Disappointments. I'm really upset at a certain person. I won't reveal his/her name because it's not appropriate for me to reveal that information without their consent. I found out that this person smokes cigarettes. They have been since they were 18. Now I believe that people can do what they want but I've known this person quite a long time and I know that they only smoke to be accepted. They say it's because they want to look and feel good, but most of us strive to look as good and feel as well as possible to be liked by more and more people? Especially the "important" ones. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's when people put up a façade, especially to impress people. Why can't you just be true to yourself?

3 - Sleep. I need to start sleeping better. It's imperative. That's it. :]

4 - Eat. I need to start eating better. That's also imperative.

5 - School. I've really been studying a lot and actually doing homework. But I got an 85 on both exams I just took. It's just a little bit troubling. I'll be fine though.

6 - Fashion. One thing that has been bothering me is how people treat fashion. I'll make this short and sweet. I don't like how people buy fashion just to be seen. I like buying labels because they're [usually] more durable, better quality, and it shows people that you care about what you have. I'm well-aware that it also makes people think you're a tool, but whatever. People shouldn't be so judgmental.

I want to end this entry with something that I truly believe in.

"It's less important to be right than to do the right thing."

Thanks for reading and caring,

Jordan

Trip to the King of Prussia Mall - Car Lovers: Read This!

So Gary, Tom, Brittany L, and I went to the King of Prussia mall yesterday. The day started off a little bit late; we were supposed to leave Friendly's by 9am but we all ended up being some kind of late and didn't leave until about 9:30am. We get on the Blue Route at about 10am, which isn't too bad. At exit 3, we're driving and I'm like "Oh my god - is that a Bentley GTC?". This BRAND NEW Bentley Continental GTC [convertible] is in opposing traffic. Like, if I just saw that car and nothing more for the day, I'm be totally set. But there's more.

About 2 miles down the road after the Bentley sighting, I notice this car off to the side of the road and I'm thinking to myself "What the hell is that?". It's a BRAND NEW Ferrari 599. Like, WHAT IS GOING ON TODAY?! Ugh. Amazing. Then I decide to take Gary and company to Algar Ferrari, the only Ferrari and Maserati dealer around us. I know Gary loves his Maseratis so I knew it would be cool to see them. We get there - Brittany is bored out of her mind [I felt so bad] - and we take a look at the two Quattroportes outside and one of the receptionists that works inside invites us to come in and check out the cars.

There's a 1990 Ferrari F40 that the owner of Algar owns - the lady said he's driven it "once or twice". WTF. Lol. There was a 1978? Ferrari 328GTB. Perfect condition. There was a 430 convertible, a 355 Berlinetta [mmm], and another 430. There were also like 4 or 5 Quattroportes inside and a Coupe. We thanked everybody and left for King of Prussia. Oh and about three blocks away from Algar, we spotted ANOTHER Quattroporte.

We finally got to KoP at around 11am or so. I forget. We park about 5 spaces down from a BMW 650i. Keep in mind, they don't make many of these cars. Most of the 6-series are the 645 trim.

We get into the mall and start walking around. Brittany bought some stuff @ Abercrombie but eventually returned it because she found this really pretty sweater @ Armani Exchange. Good decision, Brit. Crap, I shoulda take a picture. Oh well. Gary bought this really nice brown and white long-sleeve shirt @ Hollister and, according to him, the best part was that there was no logo to be found haha. I agree. Tom spent about $500-$600 - new pair of Maui Jims, jacket and jeans @ Hollister. You name it lol. Good old Tom. I didn't get anything. Once we finally got done walking the mall, we decided to go to The Cheesecake Factory but it was too busy and we had to be back by a certain time. Tom wanted to buy a slice of cheesecake so Gary, Brittany, and I walked back to the car. It was then when Brittany decided to return the Abercrombie stuff so her and Gary went back into the mall. I knew Tom was going to be a few minutes so I took a nice drive around the parking lot and this was what I saw at the Neiman Marcus valet parking:

Ok, so that's a white BMW 750Li and ANOTHER Maserati Quattroporte. What is happening?! ... Not that I mind. ANYWAY. I went to go pick up Tom and then we picked up Brittany and Gary and headed back to Delaware. We went to Taco Bell for lunch - grosss. I took Gary back to Friendly's so he could start his shift, took Brittany home, and then Tom left once we got back to my house. WHAT A DAY! Comments please :]

New Friends, Good Times =]

Just wanted to take some time to acknowledge a few people with whom I have become close. I started working at Friendly's about a month ago and already I have met several people that really mean a lot to me. As far as names go, you know who you are. Basically everyone that went bowling with me :D. It's hard to start in a new work environment and feel comfortable and I really do feel that way with my new friends there. I know I don't really show it or say it often, but I really do appreciate your presence in my life =]

UD's Music Program

Very few things REALLY get to me, but one thing has really been getting to me lately. UD's music program is SO sub-par. I feel like I made a big mistake going there for music. On Sunday, the UD Orchestra played Handel, Vaughan Williams, and Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony. The first two were excellent (mostly because they were conducted by a different conductor). The Saint-Saens was TERRIBLE. I walked out and was just so displeased. The marching band is a joke. The director treats us like little kids. Players are wasting their time running around the field and jumping around and messing around. Apparently, they have time to do that but they don't have time to worry about their spot on the field and how it relates to the people around them. UGH! It's so frustrating!! There's no maturity to that program whatsoever. It's VERY aggravating. I was just upstairs watching last year's field show and it was just bad. No lines were straight, nothing. The only good thing was the music, with respect to articulation, etc. This is not me. I don't like JUST OK. I don't like mediocre. And that's all this program is about. AHH! I just need to get through these last two years and I'll be ok.

I dunno. Leave me some love. I need it.

My Dream Last Night!

Boy, did I have a cool dream last night!

It started off as me hanging out with someone and we were talking about death and how she knew that if you killed yourself a certain way, you could "live" in a surreal realm or something like that. So being me, I did it haha. The only way I can describe it was me jumping into a pit, feet first, and, remembering my friend's instructions, I landed on a rock sticking out of the wall and my I felt my spine start to break in slow motion, section by section. I know this sounds really bloody and morbid, but it's defintely not how it seemed, I swear! God I just lost 3/4 of my friends haha. Anyway...

I had a little blackout and I woke up in what seemed to be a normal environment. However, all the people around me were dead! They all looked like normal human beings, which was the cool part. I don't remember much else, but it's just cool because I saw death in a different light. I dunno I'm not a pothead, I swear!!

School Update

Here's a little update on my life.

First and foremost, I've finally figured out my school situation. I am going to stay on the Bachelor of Arts in Music degree, but this time, with a concentration in Music Management. This program is a 4+1 program, which means instead of graduating in the traditional four years, I'll be done school in 5.5 years AND have my MBA. It sucks that I didn't get into Music Education, but hey, everything happens for a reason.

There's nothing really new in my personal life. I'm still looking for a job, but I hear about the T-Mobile job tomorrow (Friday). I'm not dating anyone, nor do I want to be. I'm happily single. =]

Oh one thing. I did get a new phone. Check it out below!

So yeah. That's that.

Leave me some cool comments!!!

The Stars

Hey I know I rarely post blogs, but I was moved to post one about astrology and horoscopes.

I've never been one to believe in horoscopes, but the more research I do and the more I pay attention to the details and the little things, the more I question myself - how powerful are the stars?

For example, I am going to hang out with a friend tonight and I'm really excited because I'm going to get to go around Philly again and I get to hang out with him. At the same time, I've been really worried about work; that is, the work ethic of people there, the quality, etc. After I woke up this morning, I went to check my Myspace and I click on my horoscope. I'll quote it:

"Your mind is on your work, even if you're not at the office. You are likely thinking of what you need to do to better your position in the outer world. And although you'd probably rather be with your family or friends, don't miss an opportunity to take charge of a situation. This is not about doing anything specific; it's about the creative visualization that can open up possibilities for your future."

Coincidence? Pure happenstance? Or something more? Of course, we'll never know the answer, but it's always cool to wonder about things like that. Another example. I did a compatibility "test" on the same website for friendship for my best friend, Tom, and me. Here's the quote:

"You gain great comfort from Capricorn's stable influence, while your pal is inspired by your tremendous passion for life. When life becomes overwhelming, run to the Goat's side. Their practical advice will seem like an anchor in a storm. In turn, you can reignite Capricorn's inner spark whenever it becomes extinguished by worldly concerns. Both of you are very deep people and take a serious interest in things like art, politics and religion. When it comes time to blow off steam, you find refreshment in hiking, rock climbing and biking. Working on your respective family trees could also prove diverting. If you're searching for an artistic outlet, the two of you might try pottery or jewelry-making. This is one of those friendships where you can enjoy comfortable silences together."

It's funny because that's all 100% true. My favorite part (for those of you who know Tom) is "When life becomes overwhelming, run to the Goat's side. Their practical advice will seem like an anchor in a storm. In turn, you can reignite Capricorn's inner spark whenever it becomes extinguished by worldly concerns." That's exactly how we are - yin and yang - a good balance. We just don't make jewelry or pottery... Yeah. Awkward.

In summary, I need to say that this is pretty damn cool. Even if people don't believe in it, I do and I think that nature is very cool and, well, perfect. Have a great day =)
